Toowoomba consultations next Wednesday Seeking views of all organic producers
Have your say on the future of the organic industry
Policy Partners Pty Ltd is conducting regional consultations, seeking the views of organic producers about the future leadership of their industry.
The consultations are part of a project initiated by organic industry leaders from across Australia who are collaborating with a view to establishing a harmonised national voice for all organic producers, certifiers and the supply chain. This workshop is being held in conjunction with the Queensland Beef Expo at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. Organic beef producers are encouraged to attend the workshop and the expo. Arrange a complimentary ticket to the Queensland Beef Expo when you register with Policy Partners for the workshop.
Tony Webster, Managing Director of Policy Partners, said "There are many organic beef producers in this region. This is a great opportunity for them to participate in both events. But, of course, we want to hear the views of everyone in the organic industry - not just beef producers. There are also many other fantastic organic products being produced in areas surrounding Toowoomba."
Mr Webster also said "The consultations are part of a project to produce a roadmap for the industry. One possible path in that roadmap is the creation of a new national peak body to provide a harmonised voice for the organic industry."
The 21⁄2 hour consultation workshop will be held in Toowoomba at 3.00pm next Wednesday 30th August.
Policy Partners has published an Issues Paper to guide the consultations. For further information, visit the project website at www.organicindustries.com.au RSVP is required for catering purposes. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone/text Tony Webster on 0448439334 to register.
